Why you were you charged excessive fees for shipping. If you
were charged excessive shipping fees, we are sorry and a refund will be
sent if you were charged more than $10 for shipping. Magnetic beads
create a unique shipping problem because of their weight. To keep
shipping costs down to a reasonable level, we use Priority Mail Flat Rate
boxes of $5 or $10 and there are no weight limits for these Priority Mail
packages. If we were to ship UPS of FedEx, the shipping charges
could easily reach $20 and higher because of the weight of the magnetic
beads.
For a long time we did not provide online purchases because our shopping
cart did not charge reasonable shipping fees. Then we surrendered to
customers requests to be able to purchase online. Many
customers purchase only one item and the shipping fees are reasonable.
It is when you order different items you are charged additional shipping
fees. Sales are up, but so are complaints about shipping charges.
To be fair to everyone, we automatically refund all shipping fees above
$10 and the refund will appear on your account later in the day.
You also have the option of calling in or faxing your order an we will
